If you are taking heart medication, have a pacemaker, or are experiencing symptoms such as chest pain, dizziness or a racing heart, we may suggest cardiac event monitoring.
This non-invasive test involves you wearing a battery-powered device for up to 30 days to record your heart rhythm for several minutes during symptomatic episodes.
Depending on the type of cardiac monitoring you need, the device may require you to attach electrodes to your chest. The Great Lakes Cardiovascular team will show you how to properly wear your device, as well as how to record and report the results to your doctor.
