What to expect for your appointment
Our atrial fibrillation team is dedicated to providing you with the most advanced AFib treatment options focused on: individualized plan of care with a team approach, relief of symptoms, improvement in quality of life, and stroke prevention.
Before your appointment
Within a few business days of your appointment being scheduled, a new patient packet will arrive to your home. Please complete this packet and bring to your appointment, as this will help the atrial fibrillation team better understand your medical history. Or, simply download the forms located in "patient forms" in the AFib section of this website.
During your appointment
When you arrive at The Atrial Fibrillation Clinic, our check in staff will go over your records and obtain an EKG. You will first meet with our Nurse Practitioner, who will begin the interview process and provide detailed information about Atrial fibrillation. You will then meet with one of our four electrophysiologists, who will discuss your treatment options and answer any questions you or your loved ones have. Together our nurse practitioner and electrophysiologist will implement a plan of care the best meets your individual needs.
After your appointment
At the end of your appointment you will receive discharge paperwork that will include: any new medications, changes to current medications, ordered lab work or testing, nutritional or sleep apnea testing referral, scheduled procedures, and follow-up appointments. You will also receive pertinent patient information regarding medications and procedures.
Our atrial fibrillation team while work in collaboration with your existing medical providers including primary care and cardiology, to ensure adequate care.
